2010 CrossFit Games

2010 CrossFit Games - Official SponsorWe are very proud to be official sponsors of the 2010 CrossFit games!

If you haven't heard of CrossFit, it's a core strength and conditioning program (well, more of a methodology actually) that's been gathering HUGE momentum over the last few years.

In founder, Greg Glassman's own words:

'CrossFit is a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains. They are Cardiovascular and Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.'

The CrossFit Games is being labelled as the ultimate test of fitness. It's a gruelling two-day competition in which the world's fittest athletes compete in a variety of workouts. Participants are limited to 50 men and 50 women, all of whom need to qualify to enter and each year the workouts change, and the details of them are not announced until a couple days before the event.

This means that all year long, the athletes are training for a competition whose format is almost completely a mystery. A workout can be anything from a 7km Hill Run right through to a gruelling circuit such as event 8 from the 2009 Crossfit games!

7km Hill Run, which was 15 barbells cleans (155/100lbs), 30 toes to bar, 30 box jumps (24/20"), 15/10 muscle-ups, 30 push presses (40/25lbs), 30 double-unders, 15 thrusters (135/95lbs), 30 pull-ups, 30 burpees, 300' overhead walking lunges (45/25lb plate)

Here are a few pics of the 2009 Crossfit Games to give you an idea for what it's about!
